Product Migration, Imports, and Delivery Links

Migrate product information, supported media, and delivery files from another platform into reviewed SoundSync drafts.

Product migration is supported

Move your product catalog to SoundSync from another platform using a public store URL, an individual product page, or a CSV, TSV, XLSX, or JSON product export. Bring over supported product information, artwork, public audio, video references, and authorized delivery files, then review everything before publishing.

Importing creates drafts, never a live catalog. Select which products to save, correct the details, attach private delivery files, configure licensing, and publish only when ready. An export can stand alone when a source store cannot be read.

From source catalog to SoundSync drafts

  1. Choose a source

Open Import/Upload from Products or onboarding. Use a store URL for a catalog, or a product URL to create or fill a single draft. Add a product export when useful.

  2. Review the mapping

Map export columns and select a SoundSync product type. Confirm prices as USD amounts; SoundSync does not convert source currencies.

  3. Choose products and media

Edit the proposed copy and price, select the products, and copy selected images and public audio into SoundSync storage. Videos remain supported provider embeds.

  4. Save drafts

Review warnings and confirm. Existing matches are not selected automatically; explicitly allow filling missing fields in matched drafts.

  5. Prepare delivery and access

Match direct download links or upload files privately. Check pricing, licensing, compatibility, bundle membership, and storefront presentation before publication.

Your saved work stays yours

Source mappings help repeated imports find the same product. Existing names, descriptions, prices (including a deliberate free price), media, and attached files are preserved. Filling an existing draft adds missing information rather than overwriting your work. Published products are skipped; edit their public content through the normal product workflow.

A paid source price below $9.99 remains visible for review, but the draft selling price is left unset. It is not silently converted to free. Set a valid paid price before publication.

Use a public source or a product export

Discovery reads public page content without running the source website's JavaScript. It respects access and robots restrictions and does not use your source-store login or cookies. A JavaScript-only, blocked, or private store needs an export or manual input.

Only import products and media you have permission to distribute. Review the source information and selected media before saving your drafts.

Prepare a delivery-link manifest

After saving drafts, upload an export with product names and direct download links. Select the name column and one or more file-link columns. Review exact, ambiguous, and unmatched products; a similar name does not authorize attaching a file to another product.

A product page, sign-in page, or expired sharing URL is not a direct downloadable file. Supply a fresh accessible link or use a local file. Several delivery files can be matched to a product, up to 10 GB per file; each is copied into private storage and checked before attachment.

Resume an interrupted import

The server saves job progress. Reopen the job rather than starting another catalog copy. Discovery advances while the browser drives the next steps; closing the page stops subsequent discovery after the current step. Review selections are recovered in the same tab/session where available, not guaranteed across every browser or device.

A save request that is repeated after completion returns the completed job. Concurrent saves are checked to prevent duplicate drafts. If a source matches another product or a published product, resolve that match instead of forcing an overwrite.

AI assistance and source material

When enabled, Google Gemini can suggest export-header mappings and extract product facts from public page context. Header matching sends column names, not private download links or customer CSV values. Page extraction uses the supplied public page content; it must not invent prices, compatibility, licensing, or bundle relationships. Review all proposed facts.

Account and billing transfers are separate

Product migration brings catalog content and supported files into SoundSync. It does not automatically transfer customer accounts, historical orders or payments, active subscription billing authority, or marketing consent. Configure bundle membership and licensing for the imported products, and use approved customer/serial/partner workflows separately where appropriate.
