Compatibility guide

HISE Compatibility

Verify script placement, patched native APIs, WebView assets, and exported plugin behavior.

Choose the variant first

HISEScript uses the project script/runtime path; native HISE requires the installed native sources and a rebuilt authoring executable. Do not compare the compatibility of one with a screenshot from the other.

Check the actual build

  1. Source API

For native HISE, run the generated patch and compatibility verification tools against the intended checkout.

  2. Authoring executable

Confirm the running executable includes the rebuilt SoundSyncNative API.

  3. Exported binary

Apply the supported export integration and rebuild; copying scripts alone is insufficient.

  4. Assets and networking

Check relative WebView files, logo behavior, TLS/connectivity, and permitted customer-session flows.

  5. Target hosts

Test each OS, plugin format, and host you advertise, including editor-closed native enforcement.

Record limitations accurately

This guide describes the current implementation and package instructions. Source review does not certify every host, operating system, provider delivery, or payment lifecycle. Test the exact build and environment you intend to release.

Supplied runtime screenshots show the captured surface, not universal compatibility. Retain the product/package/build context for support.
