Rent-to-Own Configuration
Installment settings and agreement states are present; production live checkout is not enabled.
Current availability
Rent-to-own settings and test integration exist, but the current production implementation rejects live checkout with rent_to_own_live_checkout_unavailable. This is not generally available paid checkout.

Different from a normal subscription
Rent-to-own is an installment agreement with a completed_owned outcome, not indefinite recurring access. Subscription products are ineligible for this path. Already-owned products or an active agreement can also block a new checkout.
Agreement states include active, past due, grace, suspended, canceled, completed owned, refunded, disputed, and revoked. A settings screen is not proof that every transition has passed a production payment test.
Before public availability
Review plan previews, provider events, cancellation, failed payments, completion, and entitlement outcomes in the supported test environment. Do not publish an offer or promise early payoff solely because a setting exists.
