Custom Domains and SSL

Connect root and apex domains, storefront subdomains, and email sending domains with guided DNS, verification checks, and SoundSync-provided SSL certificates. Developers only need the domain and DNS access; SoundSync handles the rest of the hosted-domain setup.

DNS setup workflow

Follow the generated records exactly and keep real verification tokens out of screenshots and support transcripts.

  1. Choose domain

    Enter a root domain or a chosen subdomain from Brand Manager or custom-domain setup.

  2. Detect provider

    SoundSync detects common providers from nameservers and can fall back to manual/generic instructions.

  3. Copy storefront record

    Use an apex/root A record or a subdomain CNAME depending on the selected domain type.

  4. Copy verification records

    Use TXT verification and any email-domain SPF, DKIM, DMARC, or tracking records required by the flow.

  5. Check records

    Run step checks or full checks until each record verifies.

  6. SSL readiness

    After domain verification and routing are correct, SoundSync provides SSL certificates for connected web domains.

What SoundSync does not need

SoundSync does not need the developer registrar password, nameserver delegation, or DNS provider API key for smart manual DNS. Propagation timing depends on the DNS provider and cannot be guaranteed.
