Payments, Tax, and Merchant of Record
Stripe, PayPal, USD, the managed legal seller, and tax responsibility.
Stripe and PayPal checkout
Stripe and PayPal are enabled for one-time checkout. Subscription checkout currently uses Stripe rather than PayPal. Card, wallet, and local-payment options depend on the payment provider, transaction, customer region, device, and checkout configuration.
Available payment choices are shown before payment. PayPal is a one-time-purchase option, not a subscription payment method in the current checkout.
SoundSync is the Merchant of Record
SoundSync Solutions is the Merchant of Record for purchases completed through SoundSync-managed checkout. SoundSync handles payment processing and applicable sales-tax/VAT calculation, collection, registration, filing, and remittance for those transactions.
SoundSync charges one 10% fee on product revenue after discounts and before tax. Payment processing is included for SoundSync-managed checkout. Marketplace-attributed sales use the same fee, not a second marketplace charge.
USD pricing and conversion
Product prices, checkout charges, developer statements, and payouts currently operate in USD. Developers bear applicable currency-conversion costs when receiving funds in another currency. Conversion rates and destination charges depend on the payment provider; no universal conversion percentage is promised.
A buyer's card or payment provider may apply its own currency conversion to a USD charge. That is separate from SoundSync's included managed-checkout processing.

Exemptions, invoices, and business purchases
For a tax exemption, VAT reverse-charge question, or special invoice requirement, contact support before purchasing. Do not assume a rate calculator establishes eligibility for an exemption or that every business-tax scenario is supported.
Affiliate and collaborator shares
Affiliate and collaborator programs are being introduced through agreement previews. Live commission accrual and recipient payouts are not enabled. Preview acceptance does not authorize payments; live participation will require separate acceptance and verified payout details.
SoundSync, not the developer, is responsible for the planned recipient payouts on SoundSync-collected sales. Applicable SoundSync fees are deducted first, then accepted affiliate and collaborator shares and the developer remainder are kept separate. The planned schedule is the same 1st and 15th schedule and minimum 14-day hold used for developer payouts, with refund and dispute adjustments. An external reseller receipt does not fund a payout: those proceeds remain unfunded until SoundSync actually receives the money.
