How SoundSync Connects Commerce and Access
How SoundSync Connects Commerce and Access
Products, orders, entitlements, devices, downloads, branding, and the managed-versus-external sale boundary.

The product is the common reference
Product identity connects storefront presentation, pricing, credentials, licensing policy, delivery files, and support. Brand Manager supplies the brand values reused by hosted surfaces and generated package configuration.
Commerce and licensing are connected, not identical
An order records a transaction; an order item identifies what was purchased; an entitlement records access; an activation records device use; an authorized download delivers a configured file. Keeping these concepts distinct supports refunds, subscriptions, reseller claims, and customer support.
Hosted storefronts and plugin packages
Hosted and embedded storefronts use web commerce and customer-account services. HISEScript, HISE C++, and JUCE packages connect plugins to licensing and customer access. Generated branding values are package snapshots; regenerate when the relevant identity or configuration changes.
Brand domains and SSL
A storefront can use the main/root domain or a chosen subdomain. Developers provide domain ownership and DNS access; SoundSync handles hosted routing and SSL certificate provisioning after the required DNS checks. Email sending-domain verification is a separate configuration from storefront SSL.
Financial responsibility follows the sale
SoundSync Solutions is the Merchant of Record for purchases completed through SoundSync-managed checkout. SoundSync handles payment processing and applicable sales-tax/VAT calculation, collection, registration, filing, and remittance for those transactions.
A sale completed through an external reseller or another payment system is not automatically a SoundSync-managed sale. SoundSync can provide serials, customer claims, licensing, and fulfillment for an approved external integration without becoming the legal seller for that external transaction.
